
Has accountability for the supervision of patient care for assigned area/areas under direction of the area Charge Nurse, Supervisor and /or Director. Is responsible for assessment, nursing diagnosis (Problem identification) and planning the nursing care for those patients assigned to her/his care. Is responsible for implementing and evaluating the plan of care through performance and/or leadership of personnel. Adheres to and supports hospital and nursing policies. Understands disease process and treatment for patients in all age categories as defined by each department's scope of service with respect for cultural diversity. The job includes the responsibility to uphold the mission, vision, quality statements as well as the values as set forth by the organization.
