This is a non-exempt, hourly contracted role ideal for dental professionals seeking work-life balance, meaningful community impact, and a supportive, mission-driven work environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide preventive dental services including cleanings, dental assessments, fluoride varnish applications, SDF, and sealant placement.
Collaborate with school staff, families, and the Jessamine County Health Department to identify and serve students in need of dental care.
Maintain all required licensure and Public Health RDH certification; ensure compliance with Kentucky dental regulations (KRS 313 and 201 KAR 8:562).
Accurately document services provided, manage patient records, and assist with program reporting and data collection.
Educate students, families, and school staff about oral hygiene, preventive care, and overall dental health practices.
Support additional public health initiatives as needed, contributing to broader community wellness goals.
Uphold safety, infection control, and ethical standards in all clinical and community interactions.
Minimum Qualifications
Current Kentucky RDH license in good standing.
Public Health RDH certification (can be obtained post-hire but required before providing services).
Minimum of 3,000 clinical hours as a licensed RDH.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local school travel.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
