Our Private Bank Team delivers exceptional client experiences to become the partner of choice for our high-net-worth clients. Our focus is on understanding what matters most to our clients and providing them with exceptional and highly personalised banking experiences and wealth management solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity to join as a Private Wealth Adviser, supporting the needs of our clients across the Wellington region.

What are the key focus areas for this role?

• Building and maintaining existing client relationships that align to the BNZ Private Bank value and service proposition.

• Growing the Private Bank client-base with a clear focus on funds under advice and management alongside managing clients' transactional banking and cash management strategies.

• Provide personalised advice and recommended solutions utilising BNZ products, while maintaining high professional and compliant standards.

• Actively building strong relationships internally and externally to support the BNZ brand in market.

We provide a complete, full-service Private Bank that nurtures our relationship with clients, supporting them and their family through their life stages and transition points. Working closely with clients, you will see first hand the meaningful impact our roles have.

What attributes will this person display to be successful in this role?

We are looking for someone who is open minded and inquisitive, with a game-changer attitude, and excellent problem-solving skills. You will bring:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Financial Adviser, ideally working with high-net-wroth clients.

• General knowledge of banking, lending, business and risk management strategies.

• Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills, you’re client focused, with a genuine commitment to deliver exceptional service.

• Ability to identify and address complex client needs through the delivery of highly personalised services to support clients to build their wealth.

• Confident with new business acquisition, ideally already have strong relationships and networking abilities in and around the area.

• Required as a minimum, New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) (Investment).
