The team is responsible for upholding high standards of health, safety and welfare across the private rented sector, tackling poor housing conditions, regulating Houses in Multiple Occupation, and addressing the long-term impacts of empty homes through a combination of inspection, education and enforcement. The Renters Rights Act is expanding our remit and strengthening our opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
