Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
What began in 1945 as a box of post-war assistance has, over eight decades, evolved into a broader philosophy of humanitarian response shaped by operational learning, adaptation, and changing forms of crisis. The original CARE PACKAGE®, distributed to war-affected families across Europe, reflected an enduring principle: assistance should be practical, timely, and dignity-preserving at moments of profound disruption. As humanitarian need became more frequent, protracted, and complex, response models evolved accordingly. Humanitarian systems moved from one-off distributions toward more integrated multisector assistance; from centralized logistics toward more localized and distributed delivery models; and from purely in-kind approaches toward hybrid response strategies that combine material support, services, and cash.
CARE PACKAGE® for Emergencies (CP4E) represents a contemporary expression of that evolution. It carries forward the ethos of the original CARE PACKAGE® but translates it into an operational model suited to present-day humanitarian realities: climate-driven hazards, displacement under uncertainty, constrained access, tighter financing environments, and growing expectations of speed, accountability, quality, and measurable effectiveness.
The Private Sector Engagement and Partnerships Manager is responsible for accelerating the adoption, sustainability, and scale of CP4E. The role leads market development, strategic partnerships, and commercialization efforts to ensure CP4E achieve both impact and financial sustainability. The manager will also coordinate the work of external consultants who are hired to support this work and lead development and implementation of regional hubs.
