
About the role
Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for a Private Endorsed Clinical Midwife - Midwifery Group Practice to join us in a permanent, full-time role. Based at our Springfield campus, these roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield — opening early 2026. As Mater’s first new public hospital in over 60 years, this state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With 174 public beds, ICU, maternity, emergency and surgical services, it’s set to care for over 200,000 patients annually.
Join our Continuity of Midwifery Care team at Mater Hospital Springfield, where Endorsed Midwives collaborate closely with Consultant Obstetricians to provide seamless antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care. Women receive shared antenatal appointments, continuous support during labour from their primary Midwife or team partner, and expert Consultant attendance at birth. Families enjoy personalised care in our private maternity ward and ongoing postnatal support in the community for four weeks.
Salary range: $56.08 - $60.05 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing
As an Endorsed Midwife, you will provide advanced, Medicare-funded midwifery care, including ordering diagnostic tests and prescribing medication, while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional, evidence-based care across the pregnancy, birth, and newborn period.
About you
The successful candidate will have a current, unrestricted registration with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board as a Registered Nurse/Midwife – Endorsed.
