The Private Dining Manager is responsible for driving private dining revenue, cultivating long-term client relationships, and ensuring flawless event execution aligned with Eataly’s hospitality standards across the NYC market. Possess strong networking abilities, local market awareness, and a relationship-driven approach to business development. Experience with off-premises catering and drop-off catering programs is a plus. This position reports directly to the Senior Private Dining Manager and will work closely with restaurant operations, culinary, beverage, and hospitality leadership teams across all three NYC stores. As the business grows, this individual will demonstrate leadership through delegation, team development, and operational oversight of future private dining and catering associates.

Qualifications

  • Support and manage the private dining business across Eataly’s three New York City locations
  • Lead all aspects of the private dining sales process, including lead response, proposal development, sales conversion, event coordination, and post-event follow-up
  • Drive revenue growth by proactively identifying and converting new business opportunities within the NYC market
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, concierges, and local organizations
  • Develop repeat business through consistent outreach, relationship management, and elevated guest service
  • Manage the event sales pipeline through Tripleseat or similar CRM/event management platforms, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, BEOs, floor plans, and event details with a high level of accuracy and attention to operational feasibility
  • Collaborate closely with culinary, beverage, operations, and restaurant leadership teams to ensure seamless event execution across all NYC locations
  • Monitor key performance indicators including conversion rate, lead response time, average spend, and event profitability
  • Support the development of drop-off catering and off-premises opportunities where applicable, including logistics coordination and operational execution
  • Represent Eataly at networking events, tastings, community activations, and industry functions
  • Assist the Senior Private Dining Manager with training, delegating tasks, and supporting future private dining and catering team members as the business expands

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in private dining, catering sales, or event management within a high-volume hospitality environment
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals and revenue targets
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a hospitality-driven and guest-focused approach
  • Experience with Tripleseat and other CRM/event management systems required
  • Knowledge of local market dynamics, hospitality trends, and business development opportunities
  • Experience with off-premises or drop-off catering programs is a plus
  • Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
  • Passion for Italian food, wine, hospitality, and culture preferred
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, delegate, and contribute to team growth and development

Compensation The annual compensation for this position is $70,000 - $75,000 + Commission
