About the role

Private Brand Manager – 12 months fixed-term

Shape the future of Officeworks Private Brands

At Officeworks, our Private Brand portfolio plays a critical role in how we inspire customers, grow our business, and stand out in the market. We’re looking for a creative and commercial Private Brand Manager to lead the design and product strategy across our Private Brand Technical products range.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of design, trend, product development and commercial performance.

About the role

As Private Brand Manager, you’ll be a creative thought leader responsible for delivering the end-to-end design and product strategy for the Officeworks Private Brand portfolio. You’ll lead and develop a Product Developer, building deep category expertise and driving a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.

Your primary focus will be driving a portfolio of Technical Private Branded products — from how they are designed, developed and ranged, through to how quickly and effectively they reach our customers. You’ll play a pivotal role in modernising our design operating model, shortening the design-to-shelf critical path, and embedding smarter, more agile ways of working.

Beyond Private Brands, in close collaboration with our Category Managers, you’ll take ownership of elevating the on‑trend appeal and commerciality of our merchandise ranges. By forecasting trends, consulting across the business and building a clear commercial design framework, you’ll empower merchandise teams to confidently buy into coordinated, desirable ranges that resonate with customers, expand our customer base and drive sales growth.

About you

What you’ll bring

  • Proven leadership experience building, coaching and inspiring product or design development teams
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to translate trend, design and data into profitable product outcomes
  • Experience delivering product strategy end to end, including concept, development, range build and execution
  • A collaborative, influential style, with the ability to lead change and bring stakeholders on the journey
  • Deep industry knowledge and a passion for design-led product innovation

Why this role matters

This role sits at the heart of the Product Design & Trends Team, directly supporting Officeworks’ broader merchandise strategy. Your work will drive the delivery of high-quality, high-margin Private Brand products that delight customers and strengthen our market position.

If you’re a strategic, creative leader who loves transforming ideas into commercially successful products — and want to shape the future of a major Australian retail brand — we’d love to hear from you.
