Job Description

Responsible for growth of the private banking portfolio and servicing of private banking clients.Actively collaborates with internal business partners (wealth, commercial, business banking, retail) to identify and nurture new private banking relationships.Maintains a portfolio of the bank’s top clients and oversees the servicing and nurturing of the relationship with assigned client team.Meets deposit, wealth, lending and fee revenue goals for assigned portfolio and new business goals.

Responsibilites:

  • Meets assigned goals for portfolio growth, referrals and new business including new deposits, clients, wealth AUM, and revenue (wealth and lending).
  • Collaborates with internal business partners to identify new private banking opportunities and referrals.Specifically nurtures relationships with wealth and commercial for new business.
  • Works with assigned team to ensure the needs of the clients are met leveraging the bank’s full capabilities to provide solutions. Acts as the “quarterback” to ensure clients’ banking solutions are implemented.
  • Adheres to onboarding guidelines and client experience practices to ensure the retention and delight of the bank’s top clients. Provides high level servicing to assigned portfolio of clients.
  • Manages the client’s financial circumstances with a focus on maintaining a strong relationship with the bank.Provides valuable advisory services.
  • Maintains an extensive knowledge of all deposit, lending, and cash management solutions to serve as a “trusted advisor” to our clients.
  • Participates in tactical programs to support the growth of private banking and provides strategic input into business plans and marketing.
  • Contributes to new product development designed to increase Bank’s penetration of target clients and markets.
  • Participates in industry, community, and civic organizations/programs to identify other HNW opportunities.Attends HNW events to interact with assigned portfolio.
  • Prepares monthly client servicing and referral tracking/call report, including documentation of client contacts and discussions and amount of additional deposit, wealth and loan activity generated by business development activities.
  • Meets all requirements in terms of bank operations and compliance.
  • Participates in continuing education programs as requested/required.
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • Basic knowledge of credit is expected.
  • Strong proficiency in wealth topics and the ability to identify wealth opportunities.
  • Must be able to analyze complex financial information and implement recommendations.
  • Use of Salesforce required.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of training and work experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years of banking experience in a client service or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial institution policies and procedures.
  • May make in market site visits to prospect/client business locations as needed.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills. Must have the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
  • Proven track record of service excellence and business development success.
  • Computer literacy and experience working with banking-based applications strongly preferred.
