Cambridge Trust - A Division of Eastern Bank is hiring a Private Banking Portfolio Administrator

Hiring Range: $25.05 - $40.27

The posted salary range reflects Eastern’s expected hiring range. Actual pay may vary based on experience, skills, and market factors; additional compensation may apply. Provides client and administrative support to a business development officer/s with a focus on client service, operational excellence and the advancement of divisional strategy.Participates in the overall relationship management of key clients handling communication, servicing, documentation, client meeting preparation, and general oversight of the portfolio.Supports other administrative functions including sales and referral management, compliance and regulatory reporting/documentation, Salesforce management, events and client nurture activities.Interfaces regularly with the Onboarding & Servicing team in the support of assigned clients. May require specialized training to support certain verticals- Escrow, Captive Insurance- including collaboration with legal partners on complex and specialized transactions.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Supports the ongoing client servicing of assigned portfolios for the business development team as a partner in relationship management. Responsibilities include general servicing, client communication, account opening & documentation, client meeting preparation/attendance, ongoing compliance oversight and client nurture.Ensures the retention of clients and drives a stellar client experience. Serves as the primary point of contact for Compliance and Risk questions and documentation gathering on associated portfolios.
  • Handles administrative functions for the assigned officers including sales management, referral tracking, reporting, document management, client meeting materials (pitch deck, relationship reviews, scheduling), overdrafts, Salesforce documentation, Audit preparation, Client event management. Interfaces with O & S and other colleagues in the management of clients.
  • Participates in required training programs to augment skills to support specialized verticals- Escrow, Captive Insurance.Maintains working knowledge to support client onboarding, risk management, controls and standards of operation.Interfaces with legal, compliance, risk and operations in support of client needs (including agreement review, handling of disbursements and joint written instructions.
  • Maintains working knowledge of Salesforce and other systems to support relationship management, referral documentation and tracking, sales incentive programs and bank policies.
  • Acts as a utility player, at times, juggling many deliverables with shifting priorities

PROBLEM SOLVING & DECISION MAKING

This position requires prioritizing multiple projects, tasks and issues with limited supervision and requires the ability to analyze information and draw specific conclusions and/or course of action based on experience. Strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills are required. The ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously as well as performing tasks under pressure.

REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with major course work in business administration or a related field or equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience managing client relationships and related portfolios, including account opening, documentation, and client servicing. Experience in private banking preferred.

  • Strong communication and servicing skills.

  • Strong understanding and related working experience with bank systems and CRM platforms including Salesforce.

  • Working in a fast-paced environment with experience in managing multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritizing work efforts.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Experience in Relationship Management and Client Servicing.

  • Extensive knowledge of Banking Operations and Compliance.

  • Excel in a fast-paced, demanding environment to drive results.

  • Highly organized, motivated, and demonstrate the ability to think creatively and critically.

  • Must have excellent analytical skills with proven ability to comprehend business requirements and translate into functional specifications with a strong attention to detail.

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and key stakeholders.

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.

  • Self-learner, and desire to enhance skills with training.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications such as Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Jira are required

  • Experience with Salesforce preferred.
