Your core job responsibilities will be to proactively acquire new clients and develop, maintain, and expand an existing client portfolio through high touch professional and personalized relationships with identified high net worth and affluent clients and the provision of holistic and appropriate financial solutions in order to achieve all financial targets within the Private Bank market.

  • Achieve revenue targets by either growing a portfolio of existing clients and acquiring new clients and driving profit growth through reducing cost of capital, increasing transactional revenue and balance sheet growth.
  • Maximize cross sell opportunities through the identification of specialist advisory requirements.
  • Analyze client’s current product offerings and solutions with the aim of ensuring FNB is the client’s primary banking institution. In addition, identify additional transactional and lending requirements through all aspects of the clients’ balance sheet.
  • Understand and sell the full respective value proposition (bundle products) and ensure clients are registered on digital and other self-service options.
  • Market all Transactional Banking products and lending solutions within the FNB Premium offering including but not limited to: Overdrafts, Mortgage (Single Home loan), Vehicle and Asset Finance, Personal Loans.
  • Successfully implement, track and report on Client Campaigns and initiatives.
  • Proactively manage the growth of the active customer account base to increase opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Manage and grow portfolio through proactive client contact. Ensure client retention and satisfaction levels (measured via the Net Promoter Score).
  • Resolve customer dissatisfaction/complaints by taking ownership of the problem. Analyze customer feedback to help improve customer service.
  • Ensure that delivery is accurate, timeous and of an acceptable standard.
  • Ensure that product or service knowledge and advice is technically accurate. Know and understand customer needs in order to deliver a quality service. Propose ideas to improve customer service.
  • Drive retention of customers through active client engagement and identification of opportunities to ensure client account activity.
  • Convert leads into successful sales. Achieve individual targets set to appropriate business area or sales plan.
  • Source and refer new leads through client interactions.
  • Improve service efficiencies for the bank through identifying opportunities, suggesting relevant solutions and migrating clients onto electronic platforms.
  • Management all risks associated with management of client portfolio.
  • Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements.
  • Improve business decisions by providing accurate and reliable business intelligence (information) together with analyzing trends and data Provide regular reports on delivery of services against agreed service level agreements and in terms of overall customer targets.
  • Continuously assess own performance, seek timely and clear feedback and request training where appropriate.
  • Participate and contribute to a development culture where information regarding successes, issues, trends and ideas are actively shared.
  • Actively coach team stakeholders through providing advice about learning, solutions, products and processes with the aim to improve business performance.

Minimum Qualification and Experience

  • Relevant Degree
  • 3 to 5 years’ relevant client facing experience with a proven track record of success in building relationships and developing new client relationships.
