Who will you join?

The mission of Group Privacy is to develop and sustain the Allianz Group's privacy strategy framework to enable our businesses to increase customers', employees' and third parties' trust in handling of their data. We support the ethical usage of AI in Allianz and the implementation of upcoming data regulations to promote sustainable business growth.

You will join the German Advisory Team and play a critical role in advising and guiding our German clients on data protection matters. This includes providing advice on data privacy compliance, AI ethics and information/document management, drafting and reviewing legal documents, representing the interests of Allianz with relevant supervisory authorities, conducting compliance audits, and providing training on data protection best practices. The role requires a deep understanding of German and European data protection laws, as well as the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively in both German and English.

How can you make an impact?

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced attorney specializing in Data Protection Law, AI Governance and Document Management to provide expert legal advice and support to our German clients. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that our clients comply with all applicable data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The ideal candidate will be fluent in both German and English, as the role requires extensive communication with German-speaking clients and stakeholders.

What are you made of?

Minimum Qualifications

• 3-5 years professional work experience in a relevant function /Consulting /Project Management
• Strong academic track record with relevant studies, ideally in Law
• Solid understanding and expertise with complex regulatory framework/requirements in terms of Data Protection (GDPR)
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 solutions including SharePoint Online and Document Management Systems (DMS); ideally experience with OneTrust
• Mature Project Management skills
• Fluent in German and English (minimum C2)
• Very sharp analytical and conceptual skills
• High level of reliability, resilience, and commitment
• Excellent communication skills, negotiation skills and assertiveness
• Initiative and a sense of responsibility

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters Degree (or equal) in law or similar field
• Ideally holds any Privacy certifications (e.g. CIPP/E) and has solid project management skills, a basic Compliance Background is of an advantage
• Previous experience in insurance or asset management business functions, consulting, digital / tech is a plus
• Experience applying ChatGPT, Generative AI, and Ethical AI solution
