Koniag Professional Services, LLC a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Privacy Analyst with a Secret security clearance to support KPS and our government customer in Arlington, VA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Specific Tasks:

  • The Privacy Analyst will work with OIG staff and system owners to safeguard privacy and promote transparency through compliance, advice, training, and collaboration.
  • The Privacy Analyst will conduct privacy risk assessments throughout the lifecycle of PII at the OIG; identify and evaluate processes for handling PII to mitigate potential risks; and address gaps in privacy policies and procedures.
  • Assist with ensuring compliance with the E-Government Act of 2002 and the Privacy Act of 1974 by analyzing privacy impact assessments (PIAs) of OIG IT systems that collect PII from the public or employees to identify risk to personal information and opportunities to minimize the collection of PII; and by identifying systems of records (SOR) from which information is retrieved by reference to an individual identifier (i.e. individual’s name), respectively.
  • Support efforts in research, assessments, and assist with proposing recommendations about strategies or approaches to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Department’s privacy protection business processes.
  • Support the implementation of policies, plans, and procedures for the Department’s compliance with the Privacy Act, the E-Government Act, Presidential E-Gov initiatives, OMB directives, and other legal mandates to ensure PII is properly acquired, stored, accessed, disseminated, and disposed of in accordance with existing statutory requirements.
  • Offers expert consultative advice and guidance to OIG on various intra- and inter-agency initiatives such as best practices for implementation of NIST 800-53 rev 5, aspects of OMB Circular A-130, and other initiatives as needed.
  • Serves as a consultant on preparing and presenting deliverables including talking points, analytical reports, statistical summaries, memoranda, computer generated visuals, executive presentations, and other products as requested.
