Reporting to the Printshop Supervisor, the Printing Technician is responsible for the operation of all print shop equipment.
Job Duties
• Responsible for the operation of all print shop equipment including Digital Press, plate maker, small 2-color offset, wide format printer, digital paper cutter, UV coater, creaser, and booklet maker
• Organization and layout of publications
• Maintain records of printing jobs for budgetary purposes
• Requisition supplies to be used in the print shop operation
• Printing tasks that are combined with the print shop operation
• Responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the print shop and print shop equipment
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervision
• Be an active part of the Northeast State team.
• In all duties assigned, show a commitment to customer service: to include students, college employees, and the community served by Northeast State
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma
Two years of experience working in a print shop
Preferred Qualifications
Conversational ability or fluency in a language other than English.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Technology Skills: MS Office suite; videoconferencing software; digital records management systems; general operating systems and data information systems
• Knowledge of operation and maintenance of print shop equipment, layout and design of printed materials
• Knowledge and experience in establishing and maintaining records
