Title: Printing Services Operator

Employee Classification: Support Staff

Institution: Northeast State Community College

Department: Communications and Marketing

Salary: $32,386 - $36,448 annual salary ($16.61 - $18.69 per hour), dependent on education and experience

Reporting to the Printshop Supervisor, the Printing Technician is responsible for the operation of all print shop equipment.

Job duties

  • Operate all print‑shop equipment, including the digital press, wide‑format printer, digital paper cutter, UV coater, creaser, and booklet maker.
  • Coordinate the delivery and pickup of printing projects to campus offices and departments.
  • Maintain accurate records of printing jobs for budgeting and reporting purposes.
  • Track, order, and maintain appropriate supplies necessary for print shop operations.
  • Perform printing tasks associated with daily print shop operations.
  • Ensure the cleanliness, upkeep, routine maintenance, and safety of the print shop and all related equipment.
  • Work with the immediate supervisor to prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
  • Independently organize work, set priorities, meet critical deadlines, and follow up on assignments
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
  • Contribute positively as an active member of the Northeast State team.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service in all interactions with students, employees, and the broader community served by Northeast State.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma
Experience working in a print shop

Preferred Qualifications

Conversational ability or fluency in a language other than English.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Technology Skills: MS Office suite; videoconferencing software; digital records management systems; general operating systems and data information systems

• Knowledge of operation and maintenance of print shop equipment, layout and design of printed materials

• Knowledge and experience in establishing and maintaining records
