The Team You’ll Work With:
At the Mayor’s Print Shop, our mission is to deliver top-quality printed materials that support the work of every unit within the Mayor’s Office and the executive staff. We produce high-quality, creative, and timely printed materials including posters, business cards, stationery, brochures, reports, and invitations for Mayoral events ensuring that all communications reflect the professionalism and standards of the Office of the Mayor.

The Problems You’ll Solve:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Print & Visual Associate to join our production team. Reporting to the Print Shop Director, you will play a key role in supporting daily print operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high-quality output across all projects.

- Operate a range of industrial print and bindery equipment, including high-volume digital color copiers, industrial paper cutters, perfect binders, laminators, slitter/scoring machines, booklet makers, hole punchers, and folding machines.
- Produce high quality work on digital color copiers.
- Ensure quality control, brand consistency, and timely updates across all print and web-based materials.
- Consult and collaborate with staff.
- Maintain electronic image libraries and archives of graphic design assets and publications.
- Prepare print specifications.
- Inspect print jobs for accuracy and completeness, adjusting as needed.
- Optimize images and layouts.
- Accurately cut and trim printed materials to exact specifications.
- Cut parent sheets (26" 40") with precision for stock and production.
- Securely package printed materials into boxes or cartons.
- Clearly label and prepare items for delivery.
- Create and file Job tickets.
- Perform regular maintenance of bindery equipment.
- Operate electrical and manual pallet jacks to move paper skids.
- Communicate effectively with equipment Service technicians when issues arise.

About You:
- You are detail-oriented and have a strong focus on quality control.
- You have strong project management skills with strict attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- You are proficient with industry-standard design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Dreamweaver).
- You can effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- You communicate clearly and professionally.

Qualifications

- High School diploma or equivalency.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience operating printing and binding equipment.
