Agency Overview The Supreme Court of Ohio is seeking an experienced professional to fill the position of Print Production Specialist in the Office of Public Information. The Print Production Specialist is responsible for producing digital and printed materials for staff and external audiences as part of the Supreme Court of Ohio’s comprehensive public information and education program.

Job Description

What you will do:The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.• Creative Services: Receive and format digital files for output to Print Production Center equipment (e.g., printers, trimmers, binding, booklet makers, stamping machines). Edit digital files for high-speed printing using programs like InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Illustrator on Windows. Combine artwork with vector or raster line art as necessary.

  • File Submission & Operation: Submit pre-flighted files to imaging process units and operate print software (PitStop, Acrobat Pro, Command Work Station) on color printers and digital presses.
  • Design and Printing: Use design elements (typography, photography, color, paper stock) to create materials (posters, brochures, booklets) and review drafts with internal customers. Coordinate printing and delivery of materials (training materials, displays, posters) throughout the Court.
  • Software & File Maintenance: Archive files, artwork, and fonts. Troubleshoot hardware/software issues, perform routine equipment maintenance, and manage service calls.
  • Production Reporting: Prepare regular reports and recommendations regarding production and equipment needs.
  • Customer Support: Advise customers on achieving goals and expedite jobs in a cost-effective manner.
  • Center Maintenance: Ensure organization, cleanliness, and safety of the Print Production Center.
