University Information Technology Services (UITS) is the University of Arizona’s central technology organization. UITS delivers enterprise and specialized technology services that support students, faculty, researchers, staff, and campus partners. Through innovation, strategic partnerships, and a commitment to accessibility and continuous improvement, UITS supports the evolving needs of a leading research university and the communities it serves.

The Principle Data and Analytics Architect (IT Architect IV) will own data quality, data governance processes, and an internal analytics platform supporting the Trellis program. The role also extends to broader digital experience platforms and emerging agentic systems, where clear data leadership, well-defined management processes, and the ability to operationalize model-based data are increasingly critical. As the university accelerates its investment in AI and machine learning applications, this role will help ensure that data infrastructure, quality standards, and governance practices are in place and scalable. Working in close partnership with the program’s Integration Business Analyst, this position requires technical breadth across a complex stack and the interpersonal range to build shared understanding, negotiate solution paths, and earn buy-in from diverse stakeholders. The ability to turn necessary solutions into repeatable, scalable products will be essential.
