WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

SimCorp Value Stream is comprised of several individual Value Teams that collectively deliver all the SimCorp One process outcome. The individual Value Teams are comprised of all the resources, skills and capabilities required to plan, code/configure, build, test, release, deploy, operate, and monitor our solutions.
We're building something new — a specialized Value Team for Accounting — and we're looking for experienced consultants to help shape it from the ground up. As a Principal/Senior Principal Accounting Solution Consultant, you will be a qualified subject-matter professional in investment accounting and fund administration responsible for shaping, designing and delivering robust accounting solutions on SimCorp One. You will work with a high level of self-management, act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, and take end-to-end ownership of accounting solution delivery within the Value Team and with a global outreach
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Own and lead end-to-end solution build and delivery for complex accounting solutions, covering areas such as general ledger, fund accounting and financial reporting within SimCorp One.
Act as a stream lead in deliveries, delegating tasks and maintaining the overall delivery overview for accounting. Manage collaboration with other Value Streams and Consulting units to ensure complete delivery.
Analyze complex functional- and operational requirements and translate them into robust, scalable solutions.
Contributes to the definition and maintenance of accounting standards within SimCorp One, shaping decisions with deep functional and accounting domain insight.
Support escalations and resolve high-complexity issues involving multiple stakeholders.
Ensure solution designs align with established frameworks, operational standards, and long-term maintainability.
Identify gaps in standards or patterns and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Mentor and support other consultants and team members, raising overall accounting expertise within the Value Stream.
Champion and embed new ways of working as part of SimCorp's ongoing business transformation.
WHAT WE VALUE
Practical working experience with SimCorp Dimension — or other similar platforms such as Murex, CRD, etc. — including accounting modules such as investment accounting, fund accounting, general ledger, or financial reporting configuration and setup, gained in a consulting or implementation capacity with a solid understanding of the platform's data model and accounting workflows.
Deep functional expertise in investment accounting principles, including general ledger, NAV calculation, financial reporting and regulatory accounting requirements (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP or local GAAP frameworks).
Experience in leading complex solution designs or deliveries from end to end, as well as managing multiple deliveries in parallel.
Highly developed stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly to both technical and business audiences.
Commitment to standardization, best practices and long-term solution quality.

FOR TORONTO LOCATION
This is an active, existing vacancy. The salary range for this position is 199,200 – 249,200 CAD. Base pay may vary based on factors such as years of experience, skills and qualifications.
