Primary Duties and Responsibilities


Join our Ophthalmology team as an Ultrasound Technologist and play a vital role in both patient care and innovative research. In this position, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound biomicroscopy examinations, ocular coherence tomography, and intra-ocular lens implant power calculations. You will collaborate on research studies involving ocular tumors, macular pathology, ocular inflammatory disease, glaucoma, and orbital abnormalities, while also training and mentoring Ophthalmology Fellows and Residents in imaging techniques. In addition, you will interpret and document diagnostic findings for faculty review.
We are looking for someone with experience in ophthalmic ultrasound, knowledge of OCT and ocular imaging techniques, strong clinical and technical skills, and a passion for patient care and teaching. Salary Range: $68.84-83.90 Hourly


Job Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience working in a medical setting.
  • Knowledge of ophthalmology and the structure of the eye including knowledge of ocular pathology.
  • CPR from AHA or ARC.
  • Skill in performing ocular keratometry and biometry.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively and diplomatically with patients, physicians and staff while maintaining pleasant demeanor.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds.
  • Strong writing skills to create patient reports and other types of written communication.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and ability to type.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and concise records.
  • Skill in prioritizing work and handling multiple tasks to completion with the time allotted.
  • Skill in organizing and consistently maintaining work systems.
