Job Description

As passionate about our people as we are about our mission.

Why Join Q2?

Q2 is a leading provider of digital banking and lending solutions to banks, credit unions, alternative finance companies, and fintechs in the U.S. and internationally. Our mission is simple: build strong and diverse communities through innovative financial technology—and we do that by empowering our people to help create success for our customers.

What Makes Q2 Special?

Being as passionate about our people as we are about our mission. We celebrate our employees in many ways, including our “Circle of Awesomeness” award ceremony and day of employee celebration among others! We invest in the growth and development of our team members through ongoing learning opportunities, mentorship programs, internal mobility, and meaningful leadership relationships. We also know that nothing builds trust and collaboration like having fun. We hold an annual Dodgeball for Charity event at our Q2 Stadium in Austin, inviting other local companies to play, and community organizations we support to raise money and awareness together.

Q2 is looking for a senior-level Transformation Partner to join our Transformation Team and partner with business leaders to identify, shape, and scale strategically important initiatives. Representative examples include translating Q2's internal AI strategy into measurable enterprise efficiency gains; modernizing systems and processes; integrating acquired companies as part of our M&A roadmap; and accelerating revenue growth.

In this role, you'll lead structured discovery efforts and apply design thinking, lean methodologies, and customer experience principles to uncover process and operating model improvement opportunities. You'll translate findings into compelling business cases, then remain engaged through adoption and measurement to ensure sustained business impact. This position requires a proven track record of applying structured critical thinking to ambiguous, complex problems. You'll need exceptional influence skills and the ability to shape thinking and drive alignment without formal authority. A continuous learner mindset, progressive career trajectory, and clear transformation experience spanning people, process, and technology are essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead end-to-end discovery engagements within assigned business functions using design thinking, lean/value stream mapping, and customer experience methodologies; identify and size efficiency opportunities spanning process-only and technology-enabled solutions.

  • Develop clear value theses and governance-ready proposals using structured critical thinking frameworks; define problems, options, tradeoffs, risks, and expected outcomes aligned to enterprise standards and decision frameworks.

  • Influence senior leaders without formal authority, operating effectively with ambiguity and incomplete information; partner with program/project managers to support rollout, change management, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Establish measurement approaches to track realized benefits against baselines and business KPIs; remain engaged post-launch to ensure adoption, sustained performance, and long-term impact.

  • Deliver executive communications and lead stakeholder management across large audiences and C-suite forums; serve as trusted strategic advisor to senior leadership.

  • Leverage AI tools (GenAI, Agentic AI) and enabling software (Excel, PowerPoint, Figma/Visio, Jira) to accelerate discovery, analysis, and recommendation communication.

  • Apply domain expertise across Sales, Marketing, Product and other functional areas to drive cross-functional transformation with measurable productivity and revenue impact.

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience in management consulting or similar industry roles (transformation offices, strategy, business operations, operational excellence); strong preference for enterprise software, SaaS, fintech, or similar corporate environments.

  • Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from problem framing through execution, with demonstrated comfort operating in ambiguity and translating complex analysis into clear, executive-ready recommendations.

  • Strong capability in structured discovery using design thinking, LEAN/Six Sigma, customer experience, or product design methodologies; ability to translate findings into compelling business cases with measurable outcomes, KPIs, and benefits-realization frameworks tied to business results.

  • Extensive experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment without formal authority; proven ability to support adoption and change execution through stakeholder engagement and communication planning.

  • Sound business judgment with an enterprise-wide mindset for identifying risks, dependencies, and escalation needs.

  • Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills; ability to present confidently to large audiences and senior leadership.

  • Proficiency in enabling tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Figma/Visio, Jira) and experience leveraging AI tools (GenAI, Agentic AI) to accelerate analysis and transformation.

  • Clear transformation experience spanning people, process, and technology.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Advanced degree (MBA) or professional certifications (Lean Six Sigma, PMP/PgMP, change management, design thinking, CX, AI-related credentials).

  • Prior experience building, scaling, or leading a transformation office, strategy function, or operational excellence practice.

  • Track record of scaling transformation initiatives across multiple business units or geographies.

  • Executive coaching, leadership development, or organizational design background.

  • Domain expertise in one or more of the following: Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing, Product, Engineering

  • Thought leadership, external speaking, or published work on transformation or organizational change topics.

This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
