Our US business is entering an exciting phase of growth. Having established a strong foundation in the market, we are now expanding our consulting presence and client portfolio across Financial Services & Insurance, with Insurance an important priority area.

This role sits within our broader Financial Services & Insurance offering, with a particular focus on helping grow our Insurance work in the US. You will help build Gate One's presence in the market, working closely with an established and successful UK FS&I practice.

As demand continues to grow, we are looking for a Principal with deep transformation consulting experience, strong FS&I credibility and meaningful Insurance exposure to lead client engagements, identify and grow strategic accounts, and play a visible role in building Gate One's US presence.

The Opportunity

As a Principal, you will lead large-scale transformation engagements, advise senior stakeholders and play a key role in building Gate One's US Financial Services & Insurance business.

You will combine delivery leadership with commercial responsibility, helping clients navigate complex change while shaping and converting new opportunities.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, leading teams through ambiguity and helping grow a consulting business in an entrepreneurial environment.

You will

Lead Complex Transformation Programmes

• Lead business and digital transformation programmes from strategy through to execution.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders.
• Lead blended Gate One and client teams to deliver measurable outcomes.
• Bring expertise across operating model, technology, transformation delivery, data, AI, customer and organisational change.
• Provide senior oversight and quality assurance across engagements.

Grow Accounts and Generate Opportunities

• Build and deepen relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Leverage your existing network to identify and develop new opportunities.
• Identify, shape and lead new opportunities within client accounts.
• Lead proposals, bids and business development pursuits.
• Drive account growth through strategic relationship development and thought leadership.
• Support the growth of Gate One's US FS&I presence, with Insurance as a priority area, through account development and market engagement.

Shape the Future of the Practice

• Help develop Gate One's transformation propositions and FS&I capability in the US, including our Insurance offering.
• Work closely with colleagues across the US and UK to bring the best of Gate One to clients.
• Recruit, coach and mentor consultants across the business.
• Contribute to firm-wide initiatives, knowledge sharing and capability building.
• Play an active role in shaping our culture and future growth.

Who We Are Looking For

You will bring significant experience from a management consulting environment alongside a strong track record of leading complex transformation programmes.

You will also bring:

• Experience operating at Senior Manager or Principal level in a consulting environment, with a track record of leading complex client engagements.
• Strong experience leading business and digital transformation programmes.
• Strong experience across Financial Services & Insurance environments, with meaningful Insurance exposure highly valued.
• Proven business development experience, including account growth, opportunity shaping and proposal leadership.
• A strong professional network and a track record of developing trusted client relationships.
• Experience leading consulting teams and developing others.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication and influencing skills.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and desire to help grow a fast-moving consulting business.
