About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Technology Business Services Consultant

As a Principal Technology Business Services Consultant, you will serve as a senior-level strategic advisor and enterprise subject-matter expert, leading high-visibility initiatives that strengthen business outcomes through technology, operational excellence, and cross-functional partnership. This role is responsible for shaping strategy, influencing decisions across lines of business, and driving complex programs with broad organizational impact.


In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a top subject matter professional to lead complex, innovative, high risk, and diverse initiatives with companywide cross technology impact, or with significant scope, cost, and benefits
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of the most complex and significant challenges across multiple lines of business or the enterprise
  • Define, plan, develop, and implement or consult on major information technology strategies, processes, or ongoing programs with broad cross technology impact
  • Provide vision, leadership, and industry expertise regarding technology matters to develop programs that are effective, efficient, and which significantly influence the organization's business
  • Lead the technology team to provide support and drive strategic initiatives for the business and for execution of operational processes
  • Serve as an experienced advisor to more experienced leadership across the technology organizations or client lines of business
  • Lead complex, high-risk, enterprise-wide initiatives that align technology capabilities with business strategy and operational priorities.
  • Drive technology strategy and execution across multiple lines of business, ensuring alignment to organizational goals and measurable outcomes.
  • Influence enterprise programs with significant scope, cost, risk, and benefit considerations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders by providing strategic guidance, informed recommendations, and decision support in key forums.
  • Establish thought leadership, promote best practices, and help define standards across organizations.
  • Drive enterprise transformation and operational excellence efforts through process design, modernization, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor program performance, risks, dependencies, and outcomes to support successful end-to-end delivery.

Core Capabilities

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and partner effectively across business and technology teams.
  • Experience acting as a trusted advisor or delegate for senior leadership in key decision-making forums.
  • Strong capability in critical thinking, executive communication, and decision-making across complex organizational environments.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise technology environments, IT functions, and the role of technology in enabling business strategy and operational outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience in technology strategy, program management, process design, and large-scale transformation or modernization initiatives.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technical solutions into measurable business value.
  • Advanced skill in synthesizing data and insights into executive-level narratives, recommendations, and action plans.
  • Demonstrated execution strength in leading end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives and monitoring risk, progress, and outcomes across large programs.


Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Information Technology in support of Business Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Experience in Capital Markets and Payments.
