ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking a Principal Technical Manager to provide strategic technical leadership across multiple projects and the studio. This role will drive technical vision, pipeline development, innovation, and production efficiency, while supporting the growth of the Technical Art team and the studio’s long-term technical capabilities.

  • Provide strategic technical leadership across multiple projects, with a strong focus on innovation, pipeline architecture, and technical vision.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize tools, workflows, and production pipelines to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  • Identify and resolve complex technical challenges and production bottlenecks, providing practical and effective solutions.
  • Lead the adoption of new technologies, including AI, to improve production workflows and capabilities.
  • Ensure effective pipeline implementation and tool adoption across projects.
  • Work closely with Technical Artists, Art, Production, Engineering, and other departments to align technical solutions with project needs and facilitate smooth delivery.
  • Deeply understand the technical aspects of projects and key accounts, and propose and execute appropriate technical directions.
  • Mentor and develop senior and junior Technical Artists, and support training programs to strengthen the team’s technical capabilities and game development mindset.
  • Establish clear technical documentation, guidelines, and best practices for the team.

In the long term, contribute to the establishment and development of Glass Egg’s Engineering team to support future Co-development initiatives.

  • Strong experience in Technical Art, pipeline development, and production tools.
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and optimizing art pipelines and tools.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to define technical direction and make sound decisions.
  • Passion for game development, innovation, and emerging technologies, including AI.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working across multiple teams and projects.
