Intuit is investing to win internationally, and a thriving third-party ecosystem is key to that plan. This Principal Tech Partnerships Manager role is a senior individual-contributor role with a dual mandate: manage a portfolio of our most strategic technology partnerships to drive deeper penetration and joint commercial outcomes, and build the international app developer ecosystem that makes QuickBooks the obvious platform choice for developers — and the most complete solution for customers — in our priority markets. You will be the connective tissue between external partners and developers and our internal sales, marketing, product, and solutions architecture teams.

You'll own a strategy,: a rare mandate to build the international ecosystem play for one of the world's largest SMB platforms — with the App Partner Program rails newly in place, executive attention on international growth, and a clear opportunity to build a winning platform.

How success is measured:

• Joint commercial outcomes: partner-enabled and partner-influenced revenue and attach of partner solutions vs. plan.
• Ecosystem growth: new international apps published, developer tier progression, and category coverage vs. competitors in priority markets.
• Customer impact: app-attach and retention of app-connected international customers.
• Internal adoption: ecosystem plays live in sales/marketing motions; international requirements landed in program and product roadmaps.

Intuit has embraced a hybrid working model and this role will be based out of our Toronto office 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

Strategic partnership management

• Own executive-level relationships with a portfolio of existing strategic technology partners across international markets.
• Build and run joint business plans: shared targets, co-sell and co-marketing motions, marketplace placement, and quarterly executive business reviews.
• Drive deeper penetration of partner solutions in the QuickBooks customer base and measurable joint revenue, with clear attribution.
• Negotiate commercial constructs (rev-share, referral, reseller, embedded) and manage partnership health end to end.

International developer ecosystem

• Define the app ecosystem strategy: identify locally-critical app categories
• Recruit, onboard, and grow international app partners through the Intuit App Partner Program (Builder → Silver → Gold → Platinum), acting as their advocate and evangelist.
• Represent Intuit in international developer communities and at partner/industry events; be a visible face of the platform.
• Feed structured international requirements into the App Partner Program and developer platform teams (program design, APIs, marketplace merchandising).

Internal orchestration

• Partner with sales to embed ecosystem and partner plays into seller motions and account plans.
• Partner with marketing on joint campaigns, app store merchandising, and developer marketing in-market.
• Partner with product management on roadmap alignment, integration quality, and platform gaps.
• Partner with solutions architects on integration patterns, partner enablement, and complex customer solutioning.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in technology partnerships, business development, or platform/ecosystem roles in SaaS; 5+ years managing strategic partners with commercial (revenue) accountability.
• Demonstrated success building or scaling a developer ecosystem, app marketplace, or ISV program — you understand what makes developers choose and champion a platform.
• Deep knowledge of the small-business software landscape; fluency in accounting/fintech ecosystems strongly preferred.
• Executive presence and negotiation skill with partner C-suites; proven cross-functional leadership across sales, marketing, product, and technical teams without direct authority.
• Comfort with technical concepts (APIs, integration architecture, app review) sufficient to work credibly with developers and solutions architects.
• Data-driven operator: builds business cases, defines KPIs, and manages a portfolio by the numbers.
• Experience in international or non-US markets strongly preferred.

The expected base pay range for this position is:

Toronto $169,500 - $229,500
