– Principal system and sub system engineer (UAEN)
Reports To: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Senior UAE National role with full technical authority over end-to-end UAV systems engineering — covering architecture, subsystem integration, verification, and national capability development.
Key responsibilities
Systems architecture & design
Define and own UAV system architectures across airborne platforms, payloads, datalinks, and GCS
Govern requirements, ICDs, and functional allocations; act as final authority on trade studies and architectural decisions
Ensure compliance with GCAA, EASA, FAA, MIL-STD/STANAG standards
Subsystem integration
Lead integration of hardware, software, mechanical, electrical, and RF subsystems
Ensure performance, safety, SWaP, and reliability targets are met; resolve system-level conflicts proactively
Technical leadership & capability building
Mentor systems, software, avionics, and mechanical engineers; lead SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, PRR reviews
Institutionalize SE processes and support Emirati talent development
Verification, validation & flight test oversight
Define V&V strategies across lab, ground, and flight testing; ensure full requirements-to-acceptance traceability
Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions on system-level issues
