Job Description

As the Principal System Architect, you will be at the forefront of our next-generation software development. Your expertise will drive the creation of a highly scalable, cloud-native platform and build and mature differentiated Lifecycle Management (LCM) capabilities using GitOps principles. You will lead a team, set architectural standards, and ensure the platform's success and customer adoption.

• Own and drive the architectural blueprint and AI-led software development for the AN cloud native platform and it's lifecycle management.
• Architect and implement the enterprise GitOps strategy, defining declarative state models, multi-cluster continuous reconciliation loops, and automated promotion patterns.
• Design end-to-end container lifecycle management frameworks, covering secure base image governance, dynamic build pipelines, admission control, runtime orchestration, and ephemeral environment provisioning.
• Establish self-healing platform patterns where drifts from the desired Git state are automatically detected and corrected without human intervention.
• Create robust rollback and progressive delivery strategies (e.g., Canary, Blue/Green) managed completely via GitOps operators.
• Ensure the platform's scalability, performance, and reliability meet industry standards.
• Partner with product management and cross-functional teams to align platform development with business goals.
• Champion AI-led/Spec driven development, conduct code reviews and ensure best practices are followed throughout development.
• Document and communicate architectural decisions and strategies effectively.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges during the platform's evolution.

You have

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.15+ years of product development experience, with a proven track record of owning, shipping, and maintaining large-scale software products throughout their operational lifecycle.
• Direct experience leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., Cursor or GitHub Copilot, automated testing/linting agents) to accelerate development of pipelines and platform delivery.
• Expert-level hands-on experience architecting production-grade infrastructure using GitOps tools such as ArgoCD/Flux, with advanced knowledge of Kubernetes multi-tenancy, cluster management, OCI standards, container runtimes, and secure software supply chains.
• Kubernetes Internals: Strong expertise in writing custom K8s operators, controllers, and managing complex service mesh layers (e.g., Istio, Linkerd) via declarative configurations.

• Deep expertise in Event-Driven Architectures utilizing high-throughput pub-sub systems.
