Your Team
You will partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Procurement, Regulatory Affairs, and Corporate Logistics teams to ensure seamless material flow and inventory integrity. You will provide leadership and support to warehouse personnel, including stockroom, finished goods shipping, and raw materials warehouse teams, helping drive compliance, performance, and customer service excellence.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support internal and external warehouse operations to maintain inventory accuracy and effective logistics execution.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve inventory discrepancies between physical inventory and inventory management systems.
- Oversee cycle count programs, inventory audits, and reconciliation activities to ensure inventory integrity.
- Manage inventory returns processes and ensure proper documentation and disposition of returned materials.
- Analyze inventory data and identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and operational performance.
- Coordinate Material Review Board (MRB) activities to address slow-moving, obsolete, and excess inventory.
- Investigate inventory variances and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and maintain inventory-related reports and metrics for management review.
Warehouse & Logistics Operations
- Provide leadership and oversight for stockroom, raw material warehouse, and finished goods shipping operations.
- Serve as backup supervisor for Raw Material Warehouse operations as required.
- Oversee finished goods shipping ramp activities, ensuring operational readiness and facility organization.
- Plan and coordinate the availability of shipping materials, packaging supplies, and empty containers.
- Direct warehouse reconciliation activities to ensure system and operational accuracy.
- Coordinate inbound raw materials and MRO clearance processes with applicable regulatory agencies.
- Support import and export activities while ensuring compliance with applicable government requirements.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure compliance with cGMPs, cGDPs, Baxter policies, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits within areas of responsibility and implement process improvement opportunities.
- Maintain warehouse areas in accordance with 6S and operational excellence standards.
- Support deployment of warehouse systems, inventory management tools, and process improvements.
- Lead and participate in special projects aimed at improving supply chain performance and operational efficiency.
- Analyze inventory costs, operational metrics, and budget reports to support effective business management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Regulatory & Trade Compliance
- Ensure compliance with regulations governing transportation, storage, and movement of materials, including requirements from:
- U.S. Department of Commerce
- Department of Transportation (DOT)
- International Air Transport Association (IATA)
- Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
- U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)
- Homeland Security and other applicable agencies
- Perform duties required as the site's Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Administrator.
- Coordinate annual Dextrose Import License renewal activities.
- Process SURI entries and related regulatory documentation as required.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead problem-solving activities and coordinate corrective actions with direct reports.
- Review and approve daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with Corporate and site-level stakeholders to resolve inventory-related inquiries.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a culture of compliance and operational excellence.
- Support employee development through coaching, communication, and performance management.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing operations within a regulated industry.
- Experience leading teams in warehouse or inventory management environments.
- Strong supervisory, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience with inventory management systems and warehouse operations.
- Experience conducting inventory investigations, reconciliations, and root cause analysis.
- Experience preparing and presenting operational reports and performance metrics.
- Advanced proficiency in inventory management systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and shipping and logistics compliance systems
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or other Supply Chain certification.
- Experience serving as an FTZ Administrator.
- Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
