What You Will Do:

As a Quality Control Specialist – CORE Quality Cell, you will drive the deployment, governance, and sustainment of RTX CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) quality practices across Customer Programs, Product Data Business functions. You will enable Built-in Quality, standardization, and defect prevention across value streams while strengthening a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Own and deploy the CORE Quality framework across Business functions, ensuring alignment to RTX CORE principles and business process compliance.
  • Partner with functional leaders (Customer Programs, Product Data) to identify quality gaps, process inefficiencies, and data integrity issues, and implement data-driven improvement solutions.
  • Drive Defect Prevention by identifying systemic issues, recurring defects, and process inefficiencies using CORE tools such as Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) and Practical Problem Solving (PPS).
  • Establish and standardize Quality Gates, Control Plans, and Validation Checkpoints across key processes to ensure consistent output quality.
  • Utilize CORE tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), RCCA, Practical Problem Solving (PPS), 5S, and Visual Management to identify inefficiencies and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead and facilitate Kaizen events, quality workshops, and training sessions to build CORE capability and embed a continuous improvement culture.
  • Lead Layered Process Audits (LPA) and compliance checks to ensure adherence to Standard Work, SOPs, and SIPOC-defined processes.
  • Govern Quality Metrics and KPIs including Defect Density, First Time Right (FTR), Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), Rework Rate, and Audit Findings; provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Conduct periodic Quality Review Boards (QRB) with stakeholders to review trends, top issues, RCCA effectiveness, and improvement roadmaps.
  • Drive RCCA closure discipline, ensuring validation of corrective actions and effectiveness checks to prevent recurrence.
  • Support CORE framework maturity and certification requirements, ensuring adherence to CORE standards, audit readiness, and documentation compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for Digital Quality enablement including automation of QC checks, data validation frameworks, and integration with Power BI dashboards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) methodologies.
  • Act as a Quality Coach and Mentor, guiding teams on CORE principles, quality expectations, and best practices to enhance overall organizational capability.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical / Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control / Process Excellence, preferably within aviation, aerospace, or engineering services.
  • Proven experience in applying Lean, Six Sigma, and CORE tools (VSM, 5S, 5-Why, Fishbone).
  • Experience managing quality metrics and dashboards, with the ability to interpret trends and drive data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in performing quality audits, process compliance checks, and data validation across complex workflows.
  • Working knowledge of data governance, data quality frameworks, and structured technical documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and working knowledge of Power BI for visualization and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with experience working in global cross-functional environments.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Certification in Lean / Six Sigma (Green Belt / Black Belt) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
  • Experience in Aerospace Quality Standards such as AS9100, FAA/EASA regulatory frameworks, or OEM quality processes.
