Job Description

Integrates the 'Ag-Grid' library to display real-time data in dynamic grids, using Node.js and Socket.io connections. Creates comprehensive Unit Test Cases using Jest and Cypress frameworks, focusing on Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) for projects. Manages the Cloud migration of Exchange applications, analyzing, creating, and implementing Web Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) using the Java Spring Boot framework, and using Restful APIs for seamless communication between services. Designs and validates using HTML, CSS, Angular, jQuery, Webpack, and JavaScript. Upgrades applications from Angular 4 to Angular 16, handling all related dependencies including Ag-Grid, Highcharts, and UICL. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participates in architecture design teams.
  • Defines and implements application-level architecture.
  • Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.
  • Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.
  • Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.
  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
  • Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
  • Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.
  • Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
  • Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
  • Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.
  • Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.
  • Advises senior management on technical strategy.
  • Mentors junior team members.
  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, implementing, and supporting software solutions using distributed frameworks -- Angular, SpringBoot, and Cloud technologies (Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Software-as-a-Service (Saas)).

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, implementing, and supporting software solutions using distributed frameworks -- Angular, SpringBoot, and Cloud technologies (Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Software-as-a-Service (Saas)).

Skills and Knowledge

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing, developing, and implementing software solutions based on JavaScript frameworks architecture, using Angular’s component-based architecture; performing static typing using ESLint package; and implementing modules, directives, services, and dependency injection, using TypeScript.
  • DE designing and developing web-sockets for real-time data updates (using Socket.io) and polling mechanism (using Angular’s RxJS); and performing Test-driven development and automated testing using JavaScript testing frameworks, JEST, Cypress, and Playwright.
  • DE building and deploying distributed financial archival application pipelines to AWS Cloud, using Jenkins Core, GitHub, Artifactory, and node; and migrating and developing JavaScript based EKS applications in AWS, using HELM and S3.
  • DE diagnosing and debugging distributed applications and issues by analyzing Splunk and Datadog logs, using OpenTelemetry collector tool; identifying various error types using Grok parser; filtering, searching, correlating, and interpreting log messages to pinpoint the root cause of issues, using chrome developer tools and HttpWatch.

Salary: $173,250.00 - $183,250.00/year.
