Job Description

Come build community, explore your passions, and do your best work. The Windows Servicing Delivery (WSD) organization is responsible for delivering protected, productive, and predictable servicing experiences for Windows customers around the world. As security threats continue to evolve and engineering systems become increasingly complex, WSD is investing in modern engineering platforms that improve the speed, quality, transparency, and reliability of security servicing across the Windows ecosystem.

The Experiences Platform (EXP) team is focused on transforming critical engineering workflows from isolated tools and point solutions into trusted, reusable platform capabilities that improve developer productivity, strengthen security outcomes, and enable consistent engineering practices at scale. Our mission is to help engineering teams make better decisions faster through trusted workflows, actionable insights, durable platform services, and responsible use of AI-powered experiences.

As a Principal Software Engineer Manager, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for building and operating platform capabilities that support security servicing workflows across the engineering lifecycle. You will partner closely with engineering, validation, security, product management, and architecture teams to deliver solutions that improve workflow orchestration, evidence-based decision making, release readiness, engineering productivity, and operational excellence.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of AI, engineering systems, security servicing, workflow automation, developer productivity, and platform engineering. You will help shape the future of trusted engineering experiences while growing your leadership capabilities, mentoring engineers, and driving technical outcomes that directly influence how Windows security servicing is delivered.

This role is flexible and will allow you to partner with your manager to define the way that you work best while supporting collaboration across globally distributed teams.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees, we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
