Molex is seeking a Principal Signal Integrity Engineer to design, model, analyze, and characterize silicon photonics and high-speed optical transceiver modules, cutting-edge technology in the data center and AI industry.

The RF and Signal Integrity Engineer will be in charge of RF design for existing, new, and advanced silicon photonics high-speed interconnect technology solutions. This role will also include developing system engineering simulation.

The widespread growth of high speed and broadband systems introduces unique signal integrity issues. Our team is providing RF solutions with good signal integrity which is critical for high-speed transmission inter & intra data center.

What You Will Do

  • Codesign with IC partners to determine the electrical IC and photonics IC design strategy.
  • Silicon photonic RF design.
  • Building electrical channel behavior models at high data rate PAM4.
  • Test vehicle IC substrate and prototype module PCB signal integrity design, optimization, validation and failure analysis.
  • Provide signal integrity design guidelines to relevant engineers, such as PCB stack-up, via structure, Co-packaged interconnects.
  • Design, develop, implement, and deploy automation tools for SI simulation for best accuracy and productivity.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Master’s degree or above, major in Electrical and electronics engineering or relative department.
  • Good background in Electromagnetics/RF including a solid understanding of S-parameters
  • Experience with Signal Integrity tools such as Ansys electronics desktop, CST, Agilent Ads.
  • Familiar with Matlab and Python script development.
  • Good Team work.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Above 3 years working experience with Electromagnetic or Microwave field.
  • Capability and experience on RF characterization such as VNAs, TDRs, and spectrum analyzers to corelate with SI simulation.
  • Experienced with Matlab and PyAEDT script is a plus.
  • Good communication skill in English.
