The Principal Service Contract Analyst supports service revenue growth for Medtronic’s Cranial & Spinal Technologies portfolio by managing, pricing, negotiating, selling and administering service agreements and service-related offerings across assigned U.S. accounts. This role acts as a dedicated service subject matter expert, partnering closely with Sales, Service, Finance, Legal, and customers to deliver compliant, customer‑focused contract solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a consultative mindset, and the ability to navigate complex hospital contract environments while ensuring adherence to Medtronic pricing strategy and internal policies. The Service Contract Analyst plays a critical role in protecting and expanding Medtronic’s service revenue while ensuring customers receive meaningful, compliant service solutions that support the long‑term performance of CST technologies

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Support achievement of service revenue and attach rate objectives by proactively managing service agreement opportunities across assigned territories or customer segments.

  • Identify and advance new service opportunities through collaboration with field sales teams, inbound requests, and proactive customer outreach.

  • Create, price, and manage service quotations and proposals, ensuring alignment with approved pricing models, service offerings, and commercial policies.

  • Participate in contract negotiations with customers, hospital systems, and group purchasing organizations (GPOs) within established authority levels; escalate non standard terms as required.

  • Administer standard and non standard service contracts, including:

    • Redlining and editing contract language to meet customer requirements

    • Partnering with Legal, Finance, Security and Compliance on approvals and risk mitigation

    • Supporting contract amendments, extensions, and renewals

  • Collaborate with Sales Management to support monthly and quarterly forecasting, pipeline management, and opportunity tracking within CRM systems.

  • Develop creative and compliant service and pricing solutions to address complex customer scenarios, including multi system, multi year, and enterprise agreements.

  • Partner cross functionally to support:

    • Annual list price updates

    • Enhancements to service offerings and programs

    • Continuous improvement of service sales tools, templates, and processes

  • Maintain accurate and complete customer and contract records, ensuring data integrity across internal systems.

  • Review customer purchase orders for accuracy and readiness for order entry, resolving discrepancies as needed.

  • Ensure all activities are performed in full compliance with Medtronic Quality System requirements, commercial policies, and regulatory standards.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent with 8 years of relevant experience in Contracts or Pricing or equivalent experience (OR Associate's Degree with 6 years experience OR Baccalaureate Degree with 4 years experience).

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting service agreements for capital medical equipment (e.g., imaging, navigation, robotics, or surgical technologies).

  • Familiarity with hospital procurement processes, GPO structures, and multi‑site health systems.

  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements and regulated environments.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, matrixed organization

  • Experience in contract administration, service sales support, pricing, or healthcare commercial operations.

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to interpret contract language and collaborate effectively with Legal and Finance partners.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), contract management tools, and Microsoft Office.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$107,200.00 - $160,800.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
