Job Title: Principal / Senior Principal

Functional Profile: Senior Java / Python Software Engineer with AI Exposure

Experience: 5 to 10 years

Locations:

• Atlanta, Georgia
• St. Louis, Missouri

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 4 days per week onsite.

Employment: Full-time position.

​Role summary

Mandatory Skills

All the following requirements must be verified:

1. Strong hands-on Java development experience, including Java 8, 11, 17, or newer versions.
2. Practical experience with Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
3. Experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices.
4. Hands-on Python experience for backend development, automation, or integrations.
5. Exposure to Spec Driven Development.
6. Strong SQL and relational database experience.
7. Experience using Git or comparable source-control tools.
8. Knowledge of SDLC and Agile development methodologies.
9. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

Important: The client expects engineers who actively develop software, rather than professionals whose recent experience is primarily managerial or architectural.

Preferred Skills

Candidates should ideally demonstrate:

• Experience with Generative AI tools, including GitHub Copilot, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or equivalent technologies.
• Practical use of AI coding assistants to improve software development productivity.
• Exposure to AI services available through AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Additional Advantages

• Integration of Generative AI capabilities into Java or Python applications.
• Development of AI-powered APIs, assistants, or copilots.
• Experience with AI agents and agentic workflows.
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Enterprise AI architecture knowledge.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Have 5 to 10 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Are currently based in Atlanta or St. Louis.
• Have substantial recent hands-on Java, Spring Boot, and Python experience.
• Have designed or maintained enterprise REST APIs and microservices.
• Have some meaningful exposure to AI-assisted development.
• Hold U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.
• Can attend the office four days per week.
• Are available to interview immediately.
• Have compensation expectations aligned with the approved range.

Secondary consideration: Candidates residing elsewhere in the United States who are willing to relocate at their own expense and comply with the onsite requirement.
