This is an execution-focused, "hands-on with code" position. You will architect and build modern data products, leveraging the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem to design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and serverless application architectures.

What you’ll be doing...

  • Architecting and optimizing large-scale security data repositories within Google BigQuery, ensuring efficient partitioning, clustering, and storage tiering to support multi-terabyte analytical queries.

  • Designing and implementing robust, low-latency data pipelines using GCP Dataflow services (Apache Beam) to ingest, transform, and aggregate batch and streaming data from disparate security sources into centralized data platforms.

  • Designing and maintaining optimized data layers using the GCP Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL engine) to support high-throughput analytics and data consumers.

  • Leading analytics engineers technically to architect and deploy production-grade automation solutions. Utilize GCP Cloud Run and Cloud Functions to build scalable, event-driven microservices and high-performance APIs that expose enterprise security data.

  • Identifying opportunities to integrate AI/ML automation (e.g., Vertex AI, LLMs) to streamline manual data extraction, automate metadata tagging, and optimize pipeline orchestration.

  • Driving the transition from standard visualization to a scalable data product model, establishing a comprehensive Looker dashboard catalog to streamline enterprise risk forecasting.

  • Developing and maintaining a standardized semantic layer using LookML (Looker Modeling Language) to ensure data consistency, security access controls, and reusability across all security domains.

  • Building comprehensive business cases and data models surrounding Enterprise Security Data Analysis and Reporting to drive long-term security investments.

What we’re looking for...

  • Proven experience architecting and developing solutions within Google Cloud Platform, specifically leveraging containerized deployments via Cloud Run and serverless computing via Cloud Functions.

  • Deep technical mastery of Google BigQuery architecture, including nested/repeated fields, materialized views, and BigQuery Omni or ML capabilities.

  • Advanced proficiency in writing complex, optimized SQL queries, with specific hands-on administration and optimization experience using GCP Cloud SQL utilizing the PostgreSQL engine.

  • Strong hands-on coding expertise in Python to perform advanced data analysis, data mining, DevSecOps automation, and pipeline orchestration.

  • Familiarity with deploying AI-driven automation workflows to improve data pipeline resilience.

  • Experience utilizing visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Thoughtspot) to build data-driven stories tailored for business users at all levels.

  • Experience embedding Looker visualizations directly into serverless applications or enterprise API frameworks is highly desirable.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or six or more years of work experience.

  • Advanced proficiency in Python and writing complex, optimized SQL queries, with specific hands-on administration and optimization experience using GCP Cloud SQL utilizing the PostgreSQL engine.

  • Ability to write SQL against a relational database in order to analyze and test data.

  • Experience with modern DataOps/DevSecOps orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, CI/CD pipelines) applied directly to data engineering.

  • Working knowledge on Threat, Risk and Vulnerability Management is an added advantage.

  • Knowledge of securing cloud data delivery layers (OAuth, OIDC, API Gateways) and enforcing data privacy/governance standards.

  • Cloud Certifications
