ABOUT THE POSITION

Our Columbia Digital Technology (CDT) team supports global operations with scalable, reliable systems. We are seeking a Principal Software Analyst for our SAP Procure-to-Pay (P2P) team at the India Global Capability Center. This role is ideal for an experienced, hands-on analyst with 8+ years of SAP AFS configuration, operational support, and solution delivery experience.

You will work with business partners to gather requirements, facilitate design sessions, and document scope, configurations, and functional specifications. You will configure SAP AFS MM, collaborate with ABAP developers for custom solutions, conduct integration and functional testing, and support both implementations and ongoing production operations.


HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Support and enhance SAP P2P capabilities within the AFS MM module, including project execution, end-user support, and process improvements.
  • Configure and maintain SAP, ensuring alignment with business requirements and compliance standards.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable system configurations, workflows, and integrations.
  • Lead operational support including incident resolution, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.
  • Perform function unit testing, integration and regression testing of system changes.
  • Ensure accurate data flows and support validation and reconciliation efforts.
  • Maintain documentation for configurations, process flows, and support procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across supply chain, finance, PLM, Azure integration, architecture, basis and more.
  • Contribute to Agile delivery activities including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and stand-ups.
  • Mentor team members and support knowledge sharing.
  • Understand the data integration between other SAP modules; Sales and Distribution (SD), Finance and partner systems

  • Experienced working cross-functionally with business teams, SAP functional teams, and IT operations to shape functional solutions, including ABAP-driven enhancements.
  • Detail-oriented with deep SAP configuration and operational delivery experience.
  • A strong problem-solver who thrives in hands-on system work and has experience modifying, optimizing, and troubleshooting with SAP.
  • Experienced working cross-functionally with business teams, SAP functional teams, and IT operations
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within required timelines
  • A clear communicator who can translate business needs into technical outputs and explain system behavior to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive, accountable, and focused on continuous improvement with attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy and data quality.
  • A mentor who enjoys helping others develop skills and knowledge.


YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of IT experience in SAP P2P configuration, analysis, and support.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining SAP AFS.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, with a focus on Material Master, Direct Procurement, Inbound Logistics, Global Customs & Trade.
  • Technical proficiency in:
    • ERP configuration and workflow design
    • Cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
    • SQL for data retrieval
    • Service management tools such as ServiceNow and Jira
  • Experience with integrations, data mapping, and troubleshooting across systems. Documenting FSPECS, test scripts, training documents.
  • Strong communication skills (spoken and written English)
  • At least one full-cycle ERP implementation.
  • Experience with SAP MM configuration and AFS, FMS or S4 functionality, along with apparel industry practices.
