Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training
•Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university
•MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period. Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage
Industry Specific Experience:
• Vast experience in safety design in onshore/offshore oil & gas industry in a brownfield environment.
•Performs as a professional Safety & Risk engineer for projects and plant modifications from Front End Development through execution, commissioning and start-up.
Recent experience in an engineering consultancy in a multidiscipline environment is essential.
Key area of expertise:
- Familiar with International Standards (NFPA, EI15, IEC61508, etc)
- Active and Passive Fire Protection systems design
- Hazardous Area Classification
- HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, SIMOPS
- Human Factors Engineering
- Consequence Analysis
- Qualitative and Quantitative Risk Assessment
- ALARP Demonstration
