About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Origin's central Risk team and play a leading role in evolving our enterprise risk management capability across a large, complex and dynamic organisation.

As Principal Risk Governance, you'll help shape the direction of risk management at Origin by supporting the ongoing evolution and embedment of our enterprise Risk Framework.

Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across the business, you'll lead strategic risk improvement initiatives, influence large-scale change, and help ensure our risk management practices remain contemporary, practical and fit for purpose.

This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to drive meaningful organisational impact while supporting Origin's long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the continuous enhancement and embedment of Origin's enterprise Risk Framework.
• Identify improvement opportunities and help develop and deliver Origin's company-wide risk improvement plan.
• Lead the implementation of strategic risk management initiatives across the business.
• Support the ongoing evolution and implementation of Origin's Risk Accountability Model.
• Contribute to the design and embedment of risk appetite and tolerance practices.
• Develop and maintain risk capability programs, training and uplift initiatives to strengthen risk culture across Origin.
• Provide trusted risk leadership, SME advice and oversight across a broad range of risk categories.
• Support enterprise-wide risk aggregation, connectivity and oversight activities.
• Deliver multiple concurrent projects and change initiatives while maintaining strong stakeholder engagement and governance.

What you'll bring

You're an experienced risk professional with the ability to influence, collaborate and drive change within large and complex organisations. You combine strong technical risk expertise with a practical approach to problem-solving and can translate complex concepts into clear business outcomes.

You'll be comfortable partnering with stakeholders at all levels and have a passion for continuously improving how organisations manage risk.

You'll ideally have

• 7+ years' experience in enterprise risk management within a large and complex organisation.
• Experience within energy, mining, oil and gas, telecommunications, retail, utilities or similarly regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge and application of ISO 31000 Risk Management principles.
• Experience designing, implementing or enhancing enterprise-wide risk management frameworks.
• Experience implementing risk appetite and tolerance frameworks, risk accountability models and/or risk culture initiatives.
• Proven project and change management capability, including delivering multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and communication skills.
• Tertiary qualifications in Risk Management, Law, Accounting, Engineering, HSE or a related discipline.
