Imagine being part of a team that’s redefining the future of mobility—where your ideas don’t just sit in a lab but power next-generation technology. At indie, we are developing cutting-edge semiconductors, photonics, and radar sensors and systems for automotive, industrial, and adjacent markets. Our innovations are at the heart of advanced intelligent sensing and user experience applications, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
If you're passionate about groundbreaking technology and want to make a real impact alongside a fast-paced team that thrives on creativity and collaboration, we’d love to have you on board!
We are looking for a Principal RF/mmWave Design Engineer to architect, design, and integrate advanced RF/mmWave IPs and ICs for high‑frequency circuits powering next‑generation radar systems. In this role, you’ll collaborate with exceptional engineering teams, lead critical technical initiatives, and help drive innovations that support the automotive sector and the broader high‑tech industry.
If you are passionate about designing integrated circuits for frequencies up to 120 GHz and thrive in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment, we encourage you to explore this opportunity.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Architect, specify, design, and integrate high-performance RF/mmWave IPs and ICs
Develop integrated high-frequency circuits for radar applications
Design circuits operating at 24 GHz, 60 GHz, 77 GHz, and up to 120 GHz
Collaborate cross-functionally with system, applications, software, RF lab, and ATE teams
Lead technical activities and mentor junior engineers
Perform or support circuit characterization and debug in the RF lab
JOB REQUIREMENTS
We value creativity, ownership, and excellence. The ideal candidate brings the following skills and experience, though we recognize no candidate will meet every qualification and we support growth and development.
MSc or PhD in Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field, with 5+ years of industry experience designing RF/mmWave ICs
Strong theoretical and practical expertise in silicon-based IC design, particularly RF ICs above 10 GHz
Proven experience designing mmWave circuits such as amplifiers, PAs, phase rotators, splitters/combiners, LNAs, and frequency multipliers
Knowledge of RF CMOS and BiCMOS process technologies, including automotive-grade specifications
Proficiency in transistor-level analog/RF simulation, layout, and verification tools (e.g., Cadence, EMX, RFPro, PathWave, HFSS, CST)
Hands-on experience with RF measurement and characterization equipment (e.g., VNA, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, signal generator)
Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
