About Role:
As a Principal Reliability Specialist in the Customer Programs team, you will lead the end-to-end management of in-service field events, ensuring accurate data structuring, stakeholder coordination, and lead periodic Reliability review meetings with stakeholders and prepare/present fleet performance technical packages inorder to improve overall product performance.
What You Will Do:
- Lead event management process and ensure the data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency of event information.
- Identify data gaps, systemic inconsistencies, and process inefficiencies; coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive timely resolution and improve overall data quality.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to juniors in preparing structured event summaries and analyses, ensuring technical rigor, clarity, and decision-ready quality for stakeholder reviews.
- Oversee action tracking governance, ensuring juniors team members drive timely closure of assigned actions and validating effectiveness of corrective measures.
- Review and technically validate teardown analyses, inspection findings, and documented root cause conclusions prepared by juniors team members; challenge assumptions where necessary and ensure robustness of corrective action recommendations.
- Conduct event screening meetings with stakeholders and capture meeting minutes, decisions, and action items for tracking purposes.
- Support effective integration and alignment with downstream Reliability and Product Performance teams by ensuring high-quality, structured FEM data.
- Identify gaps across data sources, processes, and reporting frameworks, and drive value stream initiatives for continuous improvement.
- Prepare and maintain the Reliability Technical Packages, including dashboards, trend analysis, and mitigation tracking for top fleet issues.
- Collaborate with downstream Reliability, PMT, and Engineering teams to support prioritization of improvement initiatives and IPT actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automations, process standardization efforts and updates to Standard Work, SIPOC diagrams, and process flow maps.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical/ Aerospace or Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5-8 years prior relevant experience in the aviation industry, preferably in Reliability Engineering, Technical Services, MRO, or In-service Support roles.
- Working knowledge of airline field operations and in-service event reporting mechanisms.
- Working experience of field event management concepts, reliability fundamentals, and engine/component failure modes with probable root cause determination.
- Experience performing data validation, data screening, and structured technical documentation
- Ability to review and interpret teardown reports, inspection findings, and technical publications.
- Working knowledge of reliability fundamentals including, removal rates, trend analysis, and failure mode identification.
- Proven ability to interpret reliability dashboards, driver charts, and performance metrics to support identification of top fleet issues.
- Experience preparing and presenting product performance technical packages to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Familiarity with aero engine technical publications such as CMMs, ES, SBs, IPCs, EMMs, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint) and working knowledge of Power BI for data visualization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in engaging global stakeholders.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Engine product knowledge training or certification from Airworthiness Authorities/ Airlines/ MROs/ OEMs.
- Certification in Reliability Engineering concepts such as CRE or CMRP (or progress toward certification).
- Certification /working expertise in data visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Certification /working expertise in Quality and continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean Principles.

- UK Shift (12:30 PM to 9:30PM IST)
