Title: Principal R&D Technician
Location This position is based in our Campbell, California office. This position is full time (hourly), onsite.

What You’ll Do
The Principal R&D Technician is a highly skilled technical role responsible for completing tasks related to product research and development, such as prototyping new products or processes in collaboration with R&D engineers and cross-functional teams involved in transitioning products from concept to manufacturing. This individual is resourceful, demonstrates a high degree of initiative and independence, and excels at turning abstract concepts into tangible product components through their expertise.

  • Contribute to the design and development of new concepts by designing and building complex prototypes independently with minimal guidance/instructions.
  • Collaborate with Engineers to understand product requirements, assist in the development of assembly tests and procedures, perform, validate and document test methods, including in-vitro/bench tests.
  • Complete projects from beginning to end with minimal supervision, needs to be highly independent and capable of working with minimal/early-stage procedures and assist in developing procedures.
  • Experience with laboratory/testing equipment, capable of executing test methods with minimal supervision.
  • Experienced in processing and assembling small, intricate components, attention to detail is imperative.

What You’ll Bring

  • Hands-on technical skills (catheter experience required)
  • Highly independent, requires minimal supervision
  • Proactive, creative, self-starter attitude - capable of working with minimal instructions
  • Testing & Build Equipment experience (Instron, vertical laminator, coiler, hotbox)

Salary Range: $46 – 51/hourly
