Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is looking for a Principal Quality Analyst who specializes in Process Improvement to support our Foreign Military Sales (FMS) portfolio of IBCS programs. Under direction of the Process Quality Lead and the Quality Management team, you will drive operational efficiency, ensure compliance with standards, and play a vital role in delivering mission‑critical hardware. This position will be located in Madison, AL

What you will get to do:

  • Develop and/or coordinate improved policies, methods, procedures, instructions, and forms to achieve greater operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Schedule/perform internal process evaluations and develop process evaluation reports
  • Lead and support cross-functional teams in Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigation, reviewing, and reporting to include monitoring status of corrective and preventive actions and tracking through closure
  • Compile, review, and provide data and metrics to the Process Quality Lead for presentation to management and/or customer to enable data-driven decision-making
  • Participate in program boards (e.g., Process Effectiveness Board) as required
  • Conduct technical reviews of drawings, SOWs, and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) documents as required
  • Support hardware control to Bill of Materials (BOM), First Article Inspections, Material Review Board (MRB), to maintain traceability and product integrity
  • Assist the Quality & Mission Assurance program team for audits, reports, and ad-hoc tasks as assigned to strengthen overall quality system compliance

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree AND 5 years of related experience in at least one of the following areas: Process Improvement, Production/Manufacturing, Mission Assurance and/or Quality Assurance OR a Master's degree AND 3 years of related experience in at least one of the following areas: Process Improvement, Production/Manufacturing, Mission Assurance and/or Quality Assurance OR a High School Diploma AND 9 years of related experience in at least one of the following areas: Process Improvement, Production/Manufacturing, Mission Assurance and/or Quality Assurance
  • Ability to interpret contractual standards, program plans, statements of work, and requirements
  • Experience with ISO 9001, and/or AS9100
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DOD Security Clearance
  • Must be able to work on-site in Huntsville, AL

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven team player who thrives in collaborative environments
  • Deep understanding of Root Cause Analysis, Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes
  • ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 trained auditor
  • Active Secret DOD Security Clearance
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Direct experience working with military or government contracts

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
