We are looking for a Principal Psychologist to join the team at Priory Lichfield Road on a full-time basis, working 5 days per week.
Based in Walsall, West Midlands, Priory Lichfield Road is a rehabilitation service offering both level 1 and 2 care, all set within a modern, purpose-built centre. It is specifically designed to support both males and females who have severe, complex and enduring mental health needs, which might include treatment-resistant conditions.
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients
You can find additional information in the attached job description.
Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.
We are seeking a candidate with a strong grounding in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), alongside at least two other therapeutic modalities, including one relevant evidence-based intervention. The successful applicant will demonstrate a sound understanding and application of therapeutic principles, with a willingness to undertake further training where required. Experience working with complex clients and delivering high-level interventions is essential, as is training in Clinical Supervision. Applicants should also have experience in conducting psychological assessments relevant to the service population, together with proven leadership and management experience. You will also be responsible for ensuring own continuing professional development is kept up-to-date in line with recommendations from the Health Care Professions Council and the British Psychological Society and the policies of the Psychology department.
We want you to succeed at Priory and thrive in your role. You will be well supported with regular career conversations. We also offer full training and numerous pathways into leadership and qualified clinical positions to help you shape your career with us.
Shortlisting may begin upon receipt of applications, and the Recruiting Manager may close the vacancy early if enough suitable candidates are identified.
