The Opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Principal Project Manager to join our Environmental team, part of the Advisory business - a vibrant, inclusive community that celebrates our differences and makes a real impact across the UK.
In this role you will act as a project management team leader, providing advice, guidance and supervision as appropriate to project management teams, operational managers, clients and suppliers. The role gives you the opportunity to deliver projects across a number of sectors, from rail, to highways to complex facilities.
In addition to core project management responsibilities, the role requires a working knowledge of environmental legislation, policy and consenting requirements, ensuring projects remain compliant and responsive to evolving regulatory obligations. The individual shall oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of environmental survey programmes, recognising the constraints and opportunities presented by species-specific survey calendars and seasonal data collection windows. They must effectively manage interdependencies between specialist environmental disciplines, including ecology, landscape, climate resilience, carbon, arboriculture, water and heritage, ensuring integrated decision-making, programme alignment, and risk management. This includes anticipating survey, design and consenting interfaces that may influence project scope, programme, cost, and successful delivery.
