As a Principal Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst - Level 3 located in Chandler , AZ you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is on-site and does not offer teleworking or work from another location.

The Principal Program Planning Scheduling Analyst level will report to Scheduling Management and will perform detailed schedule, resource, work, and cost analysis for multiple programs and contracts. In this role, the incumbent will make recommendations to solve problems, create presentation content and present to various levels of leadership and will interface with multiple functional teams, supplier teams, as well as the Program/Project Manager.

In this job, you will:

Prepare, develop, and coordinate the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet all program objectives and ensure program schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated. Implements scheduling best practices as prescribed by industry to include, but not limited to:

  • Create initial resource loaded Microsoft Project Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) with accurate schedule logic.
  • Gather inputs from Control Account Managers (CAMs) to status the IMS monthly. Work with CAMs individually and in groups to analyze and potentially resolve schedule impacts.
  • Complete baseline change requests (BCRs). Ensure BCRs are compliant.
  • Conduct driving path and critical path analysis
  • Generate schedule related reports such as critical path Gantt charts, CEI/BEI metrics, headcount profiles, and giver/receiver reports.
  • Present schedule data to internal and external customers.
  • Maintain compliance to Earned Value Management System (EVMS) standards, IPMDAR (DI-MGMT-81861) requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Perform schedule health checks and resolve issues as needed.
  • Prepare for and participate in Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR), and internal and external audits
  • Work with Finance team to ensure accurate cost and schedule integration.
  • Provide informal training to CAMs and business operations personnel regarding scheduling compliance and best practices.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (professional experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of stated professional experience in program/project planning and scheduling- OR - a master’s degree with 3+ years of stated professional experience
  • Experience with scheduling software (i.e., MS Project)
  • Strong PC skills and proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Professional business planning and scheduling to include but not limited to engineering, production operations, manufacturing and or supply chain

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in MS Project
  • Experience with resource loading schedules
  • Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) experience
  • Experience with Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA)
  • Experience with scheduling software (i.e., SSI Tools)
  • Previous experience working for an Aerospace and Defense Company
  • Department of Defense Clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
