Welcome to Electric Asset Strategy (EAS). We are responsible for the Distribution electric system’s asset strategy, standards, procedures and end-to-end risk management for 2.3 million structures. We deliver a risk informed strategic plan, leveraging inspection insights and asset data to drive strategic maintenance and investment decisions.
The Distribution Asset Risk Management (ARM) team—comprising Asset Failure Analysis (AFA), Asset Insights, and Inspections & Maintenance Strategy (I&M)—focuses on continuously improving on how PG&E monitors and maintains its assets to support a resilient, reliable grid to help keep our communities safe.
Reporting to the Director of ARM, the Principal Program Manager will ensure the enterprise data, analytics, and technology initiatives ARM depends on deliver what our teams need to make decisions more effectively and efficiently. This role collaborates extensively across the company to translate ARM’s needs into clear requirements, shape enterprise initiatives early, and integrate the resulting capabilities into ARM’s core workflows. The role will also facilitate the team’s adoption and proficiency with enterprise AI/ML tools and, working closely with ARM’s Principal Program Manager for Advanced Technology, lead the integration and scaling of new technologies once they have been successfully tested and piloted.
The I&M team plays a critical role in managing 80,000 circuit miles of overhead primary conductors in California. We are continually improving on inspection and asset maintenance methods and procedures based on testing insights, failure analysis, and SME input. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic integrator and champion for ARM’s needs across the enterprise to deliver several transformative initiatives.
This is a hybrid role, working remotely and/or at your assigned PG&E location based on business needs and candidate preference. The ideal candidate is a data savvy leader who thrives in fast paced environments and seeks to make a meaningful impact on grid safety, resilience, and customer service. Conference travel may be required several times per year.
