Job Description

Principal Product Manager, Knowledge Graph

Dow Jones Job Location: Barcelona, Spain Job ID:

About the Team:

Our Technology team drives the evolution of our Technology, Engineering, Data, Product and User Experience functions. With a keen focus on delivering cutting-edge solutions, we shape the digital landscape for our customers, readers, and users. From revolutionizing visuals to optimizing tools and harnessing the power of data, mobile, video, and social platforms, our team is committed to providing a seamless and immersive experience across all touchpoints. Collaborating closely with our newsrooms and strategic partners, we spearhead the development of groundbreaking products and technologies.

About the Role:

We're hiring a Principal Product Manager to define and build a new structured data product from the ground up. This is a greenfield role with significant strategic scope - the PM we hire will shape what the product is, drive use case prioritization across R&C and other businesses, and own the roadmap end-to-end.

This role reports directly to the Head of Platform Product Management and is one of a small number of IC roles with company-level strategic impact.

You Will:

  • Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a new structured data product - owning the full arc from initial use case definition through scaled B2B delivery
  • Drive customer use case prioritization across R&C products and other businesses, grounding roadmap decisions in real customer outcomes
  • Work with engineering, data science, and R&C product teams to define data quality standards, coverage priorities, and schema design principles
  • Build and maintain the business case for the investment — defining the milestones, metrics, and decision points that track progress toward revenue and customer impact
  • Lead stakeholder alignment across a distributed set of teams including R&C product, Data & AI, engineering, and commercial teams

You Have:

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with direct 0→1 data product experience — you have built a net-new data product in a B2B or enterprise context, not just iterated on an existing one
  • Familiarity with graph and relationship data concepts: entity resolution, ontology design, corporate hierarchies, and ownership structures — you don't need to be an engineer, but you must be conversant at a technical level
  • Strong B2B product sense in risk, compliance, financial data, or an adjacent domain — you understand what KYC analysts, supply chain risk managers, and compliance teams are actually trying to do
  • Ability to define a product where none currently exists: you are comfortable operating in greenfield conditions, building frameworks from scratch rather than inheriting a roadmap
  • Experience managing a distributed, cross-functional stakeholder set and driving alignment without direct authority
  • Advanced knowledge of complex systems architecture; ability to translate technical possibilities into business impact and participate in architectural trade-off decisions

Our Benefits

  • Comprehensive Healthcare Plans for you and your family (paid by Dow Jones)

  • Extra paid Time Off (30 days of holidays/year)

  • Possibility to work remotely for 3 months/year (desplazamiento program) or one week of remote work per quarter

  • Meal benefit with Pluxee (171€/month on top of your salary)

  • Retirement Plans (Dow Jones will pay 2% of a members Pensionable Salary and match employee contribution up to a maximum of 3 %).
