
Microsoft's Experiences & Devices Security organization is seeking a Principal Product Manager to help modernize the security foundations that protect Microsoft 365 and Azure-scale services. This role will shape and execute the strategy for certificate management, secret management, cryptographic modernization, and post-quantum readiness across some of Microsoft's most critical infrastructure.
The ideal candidate combines deep product leadership with strong technical intuition, excels at driving alignment across large and diverse stakeholder groups, and has a track record of delivering platform investments that improve security, reliability, and operational excellence at scale.
This position is based in Redmond, Washington and requires the employee be in the office a minimum of 3 days per week.

Responsibilities
Define and drive product strategy for Microsoft's certificate and secret management platforms.
Lead large-scale security modernization initiatives, including migration from legacy infrastructure to cloud-native security platforms.
Partner with engineering, security, compliance, and service teams to improve protection of cryptographic assets and reduce operational risk.
Drive adoption of secure-by-default capabilities including hardware-backed key protection, automated certificate lifecycle management, and centralized secret governance.
Develop and execute roadmaps for cryptographic agility and post-quantum readiness across critical services.
Influence senior leaders and partner organizations to align on priorities, investments, and adoption plans.
Use data and telemetry to identify risks, measure security posture improvements, and guide product investments.
Balance customer needs, operational excellence, regulatory requirements, and engineering constraints to deliver long-term platform outcomes.
Lead complex cross-organizational initiatives involving multiple service teams and executive stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
