Super Micro Computer, Inc. is seeking an experienced Principal Product Manager to drive the growth of Supermicro’s networking business by expanding market adoption of SMC networking solutions, including Ethernet switches, transceivers, cables, and related software. This role will help position networking as a strategic part of Supermicro’s Data Center Building Block Solutions (DCBBS) and total solution selling approach.

The position will identify new business opportunities, develop strategic customer and partner relationships, support go-to-market execution, and coordinate cross-functional efforts across sales, product management, engineering, operations, and marketing. The role is intended to accelerate revenue growth, strengthen customer engagement, and expand Supermicro’s presence in the networking market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

  • Drive business growth for Supermicro networking solutions, including switches, transceivers, cables, and related software.
  • Promote SMC networking offerings as part of Supermicro’s end-to-end data center and AI infrastructure solutions.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new customer opportunities in target markets and strategic accounts.
  • Build and manage relationships with customers, channel partners, system integrators, and ecosystem partners to expand market reach and drive design wins.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans, account strategies, and business development initiatives to increase pipeline and revenue.
  • Work with sales teams to support customer engagement, opportunity development, and deal progression.
  • Gather customer requirements, market feedback, and competitive intelligence to support product positioning, portfolio planning, and overall business strategy.
  • Coordinate with product management and engineering teams to align market needs with product roadmaps and solution requirements.
  • Support resolution of customer, product, and operational issues by leading cross-functional coordination across internal teams.
  • Assist with product launches, partner enablement, training activities, demand generation efforts, and strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Develop business cases, value propositions, and customer-facing messaging for networking solutions.
  • Represent Supermicro in customer meetings, partner engagements, industry events, and other external business development activities.
  • Track and report pipeline development, customer engagement, partner progress, and other business performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • 15+ years of experience in business development, product marketing, product management, sales, or related roles in networking, data center infrastructure, enterprise technology, or adjacent markets.
  • Strong understanding of networking products and solutions, including switches, optics/transceivers, cables, and networking software.
  • Experience working with customers, partners, and cross-functional internal teams to develop and grow technology businesses.
  • Proven ability to identify new opportunities, develop go-to-market strategies, and drive revenue growth.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across product, engineering, sales, operations, and marketing organizations.
  • Familiarity with AI, cloud, enterprise, or data center infrastructure markets is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and drive initiatives from concept through execution.

Salary Range

$210,000 - $240,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
