Critical Attributes

  • Demonstrated success in large scale renewable connections, registration and commissioning according to the Australian National Electricity Rules.
  • Positive problem-solving mentality and great communication skills.
  • Proficiency with power system analysis tools - PSS®E, PSCAD, PowerFactory and Python

Key responsibilities and experience relevant for the role

  • Bachelor of electrical engineering / power systems (Masters or PhD viewed favourably)
  • 6+ years of industry experience, with Australian work experience viewed favourably
  • Fundamental knowledge of power electronics control systems and experience working within an OEM is considered an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently to solve complex tasks
  • Good communication skills and experience in building relationships with clients
  • Proficient in writing technical reports and presenting to the client
  • Familiarity with applicable standards, i.e. IEC, IEEE
  • Great interpersonal skills to work effectively within a culturally diverse and multidisciplinary environment

Value Add

  • Experience working in a transmission system operator considered an advantage.
